Mauritius is a Tropical Island with both seasons...

MauritiusThe remote island in the Indian Ocean, 2,000 km (1,200 mi) away from Africa, is a very attractive tourist destination is Mauritius, This known officially as the Republic of Mauritius.
It is a volcanic island of lagoons and palm-fringed beaches with coral reefs surrounding most of the coastline.
Mauritius has a reputation for stability and racial harmony among its mixed population. It is known as a plural society where many ethnic groups are present. It is a place where Hindus, Muslims, Creoles, Chinese and Europeans live together in harmony and all the ancestral cultures have been preserved.

Set in a beautiful turquoise sea Mauritius is an oasis of beauty and tranquility. 
The white beaches are protected by coral reefs almost all around except for the southern coast. The central plateau of Mauritius offers breathtaking summits, lakes and extinct volcanic craters and valleys to explore by car or by foot.
Mauritius is famous for its sandy beaches, beautiful lagoons and large selection of activities (sailing, diving, snorkeling, trekking, and many more) and many indulging facilities.
The setting of the picture-postcard beaches, with swaying palm trees, pure white beaches framed by the vivid turquoise waters is ideal for any vacation.
Mauritius is a Tropical Island with two seasons, SUMMER and WINTER, situated in the Indian Ocean near Reunion Island and Madagascar, Mauritius is a hub for various Business of import and export, its key local resources are the tourism, textile, sugar cane and IT. Mauritius get its independence in 1968 and became Republic in 1992. 

The island is well known for its natural beauty and of course the legendary bird DODO.Mauritius is a fast developing Island mainly in Hotels and IT business, with it white and sandy beaches tourist always say its Paradise ISLAND.

mauritiusWell this blog is also for my brothers and sisters who are living and studing in other countries.Mauritius have 9 Districts, they are Black River, Flacq, Grand Port, Moka, Pamplemousses, Port Louis, Plaines Wilhems, Riviere du Rempart, Savanne and Rodrigues is an island of Mauritius.

The most widely-spoken language of the country is Maurtian Creole and their national language is English but speak French fluently and some talk also Tamil, Hindi, Urdu, Chinese.. Mauritius has a very high advantage of its Multi Religions and cultural in the Indian Ocean and that's why people like to come to Mauritius.....



CAVES - LIGHT HOUSE








This is a very Famous place in Mauritius...With a panoramic view 
fromthe Light house it will surely amazed you........Situated in the EAST part of Mauritius ALBION Village and was build in the

19's to help the incoming boats and actual big Cargo ship to easily spot there way..Still active and its about 45-46 mts High gives flashes of light every 10 seconds....its a British type of light
House in the Indian Ocean Island Mauritius.Its also surrounded by some of the tropical Trees,... Plants and Flowers, a visit is very easy because its very close to the capital town Port Louis at about 10-11 kms from it, in french we call it a " PHARE"...posting some photos of thelandscape near the Light

Alexandra Falls 

The Alexandra Falls viewpoint is found on the central plateau. It is a part of the Black River Gorges.The whole process will not take you more than 5 minutes. And you get to the view point.The scenery is of course amazing!

Mahe de la Bourdonnais STATUE & MEMORIAL PLATE



Here is the statue of the French Governor Mahe de la Bourdonnais, situated in the center of Capital of MAURITIUS in Port Louis.He was the first to bring development in Mauritius, the harbour was build and Port Louis became the capital of Mauritius. Sugarcane was the main part of Mauritius and the export of sugar and Rum started in these year and still after 290 years having a good export all over the world!!

One of the most Beautiful Mountain of Mauritius which have a Head on the Top of it,...its a very Myterious Mountain in the History of our Isalnd.A HELICOPTER visit is a must here,





Tamil Culture..

This Giant LORD SHIVA Statue is most attractive place in Grand Bassin, its about 200 feets high and its on the entrance of Grand Bassin. This statue was build in 2006 and was complete in 2007 by the collaboration of Indian Architect, this is the second biggest statue of lord SHIVA in the world.Grand Bassin is a holy place for Hindu where you can find all the Hindu Gods,..legend says that Grand Bassin was blessed by th Holy water of river "GANGA" in the late history of Maurtius  Grand Bassin is a place of Pilgrim for the Maha Shivratree...




TEMPLE TOKEE..


This is Tokee Tamil Temple, All Tamil Temples have one common thing, that they are very Colourful and very complicate Strutures, devote come from all over Mauritius and other countries, mostly from India.Tamil Temples are paint and decorate by professional Artist Painters from the South of India and the community of our Tamil Brothers and sisters are the origin of South India...Hindous also come in great mass for Prayer and of course Tamils and Hindous are from the same Family.



The “underwater waterfall”...

The underwater waterfall, located on the southwestern shore, might serve as a signature of Mauritius. It is n’t an actual waterfall, but an optical illusion: the sediment of sand and silt create this dramatic site. The reason for this is that the island is relatively new and a formation of it is still present, causing an underwater slope.The Underwater Waterfall is located in Mauritius Island in the Indian Ocean east of Madagascar. An optical illusion created by sand washed into patterns that make it appear as an underwater waterfall…
