The Hajj pilgrimage is one of the five pillars of
Islam that should be performed at least once in lifetime by every Muslim who is
financially and physically capable.
The immense service of the Indian volunteers indeed came as a blessing to thousands of pilgrims. The forum volunteers were very active in round-the-clock services on Hajj Session in Holy Mecca. While we recognize our ultimate reward is in heaven, and what little we can do here on earth hardly compares to that reward, we believe it’s ok to simply say “thank you”, as well as encourage and inspire one another to even greater works ahead as Allah enables..
The forum arranged first aid training program for the forum volunteers. According to the forum thisyear,
though entry to the Hajj
Terminal was restricted for security reasons, the Forum had received passes for
their volunteers.
Hajj guides in six different Indian
languages have been trained by the volunteer’s service of
the forum. Highlighting safety and health, a manual was distributed among
pilgrims to educate them before they came for Hajj.
The Volunteers were helping the pilgrims to effectively communicate
with the officials to solve their problems in the accommodation buildings /
apartments.
