Volunteer Serving to Haj pilgrims!!

The Hajj pilgrimage is one of the five pillars of Islam that should be performed at least once in lifetime by every Muslim who is financially and physically capable.

The immense service of the Indian volunteers indeed came as a blessing to thousands of pilgrims. The forum volunteers were very active in round-the-clock services on Hajj Session in  Holy Mecca.
While we recognize our ultimate reward is in heaven, and what little we can do here on earth hardly compares to that reward, we believe it’s ok to simply say “thank you”, as well as encourage and inspire one another to even greater works ahead as Allah enables..

The volunteers belonged to forums such as the Jeddah Haj Welfare Forum, India Fraternity Forum (Jeddah,Yanbu, Rabigh,Mecca & Madina), the Indian Pilgrim Welfare Forum, Haj Cells of the Kerala Muslim Cultural Center, Risala Study Circle and the Indian Dawa Center.

The forum arranged first aid training program for the forum volunteers. According to the forum this year, though entry to the Hajj Terminal was restricted for security reasons, the Forum had received passes for their volunteers.

The volunteers have been serving pilgrims since the first flights from India landed in Jeddah and Madinah.

Hajj guides in six different Indian languages have been trained by the volunteer’s service of the forum. Highlighting safety and health, a manual was distributed among pilgrims to educate them before they came for Hajj.

The volunteer service in Mina will start from Dul Hijjah 8  to 11 under area captains (Amir), and will continue until the last pilgrim leaves Mina after completing the rituals. This team will also help in case of any emergency.

The help desk of the forum is operational in Jeddah to locate pilgrims round the clock, which is a unique feature of the forum volunteer service.

The Volunteers were helping the pilgrims to effectively communicate with the officials to solve their problems in the accommodation buildings / apartments.

A detailed map of Mina highlighting major roads and other landmarks is being updated for the pilgrims.

The help desk will help locate a missing pilgrim even when the pilgrim doesn't have an identification on him.
