மெக்கா புனித நகரில் நெரிசலில் சிக்கி புனித ஹஜ் யாத்ரீகர்கள் 769 பேர் பலி !! (769 people Have been killed in a stampede)

முஸ்லிம்களின் புனித இடமான மெக்காவுக்கு வாழ்நாளில் ஒருமுறையாவது பயணம் மேற்கொள்ள வேண்டும் என்பது முஸ்லிம்களின் கடமையாகும். மெக்கா மசூதியில் தொழுகை நடத்திய பிறகு, மினா சென்று சாத்தான் மீது கல்லெறியும் சடங்கில் கலந்து கொள்வது வழக்கம். அந்த இடத்துக்கு மக்கள் செல்லும் போது வியாழக்கிழமை வெயில் அதிகரிக்கும் முன்பாக திரும்பி விட வேண்டும் என்று ஒரே நேரத்தில் ஏராளமானோர் சென்றதால் திடீரென்று பலர் கீழே விழுந்தனர். ஒருவர் மேல் ஒருவர் விழ நெரிசல் ஏற்பட்டது. அப்போது ஏற்பட்ட நெரிசலில் சிக்கி 769 பேர் உயிரிழந்தனர். 900-க்கும் மேற்பட்டோர் காய மடைந்து மருத்துவமனைகளில் சிகிச்சை பெற்று வருகின்றனர்.

இதில் தமிழ்நாடு ஹஜ் கமிட்டி வாயிலாக மெக்கா புனித யாத்திரையை மேற்கொண்ட தமிழகத்தைச் சேர்ந்த மூவர் உட்பட 35 பேர் இந்தியர்கள் உயிரிழந்துள்ளனர். மேலும் 13 பேர் காயமடைந்து மருத்துவமனை களில் சிகிச்சை பெற்று வருகின் றனர். இறந்தவர்களில் மயிலாடுதுறையை சேர்ந்த சம்சுதீன் முகமது இப்ராஹிம் (60), தென்காசியை சேர்ந்த மொகிதீன் பிச்சை (65), திருச்சியை சேர்ந்த ரெமிஜென் (51) ஆகியோர் அடங்குவர்.

இந்தச் செய்தியை அறிந்து மிகவும் வருத்தம் அடைந்தேன். இந்த விபத்தில் சிக்கி உயிரிழந்தவர்களின் குடும்பத்தினர்களுக்கு எனது ஆழ்ந்த இரங்கலையும், அனுதாபத்தையும் தெரிவித்துக் கொள்கிறேன் 

இவர்கள் தவிர குஜராத் மாநிலத் தைச் சேர்ந்த 9 பேரும், ஜார்க் கண்டை சேர்ந்த இருவர் மற்றும் மகாராஷ்டிராவைச் சேர்ந்த ஒருவரும் உயிரிழந்துள்ளனர். இதனை வெளியுறவுத் துறை அமைச்சர் சுஷ்மா ஸ்வராஜ் ட்விட்டர் மூலம் வெளியிட்ட தகவலில் உறுதிப்படுத்தியுள்ளார்.

யாத்ரீகர்கள் அறிவுறுத்தல் களை முறையாக கடைபிடிக் காததே 769 பேர் இறந்ததற்கு காரணம் என்று சவுதி அரேபிய சுகாதாரத்துறை அமைச்சகம் வெளியிட்டுள்ள அறிக்கையில் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

இது தொடர்பான அறிக்கை யில் மேலும் கூறப்பட்டுள் ளதாவது: மினா நகரில் ஏற்பட்ட உயிரிழப்புகள் குறித்து முழுமையான விசாரணைக்கு உத்தரவிடப்பட்டுள்ளது. சம்பவ இடத்தில் இருந்த அதிகாரிகள் யாத்ரீகர்களுக்கு சில உத்தரவு களையும், அறிவுறுத் தல்களையும் தொடர்ந்து கூறி வந்துள்ளனர். ஆனால் சிலர் அவற்றை மீறி நடந்து கொண் டுள்ளனர். இதன் காரணமாக நெரிசல் ஏற்பட்டுள்ளது என்பது முதல் கட்ட விசாரணையில் தெரிய வந்துள்ளது. காயமடைந்த வர்களுக்கு உரிய சிகிச்சை அளிக் கப்பட்டு வருகிறது என்று அந்த அறிவிப்பில் தெரிவிக்கப்பட் டுள்ளது.

 769 people Have been killed in a stampede..

The millions of people must perform a litany of rituals in five days, including the symbolic stoning of the devil in Mina, about 2 miles away from the Mecca holy site.

That's where the deadly stampede took place Thursday, the third day of the five-day event. Officials say 769 people died and 934 were injured.

Iran's semiofficial FARS news agency said that 131 Iranians were among the dead. Another 365 remained missing, the state-run IRNA news agency reported, cautioning against assuming they have died.The dead were from at least 13 nations.

India's foreign minister reported on Twitter that 35 Indian citizens had died. Egypt counted 14 deaths and at least 30 people injured. Somalia reported seven of its citizens were dead; Pakistan, six; Senegal, five; Turkey, four; and Kenya and Algeria, three each. Two people from Indonesia and two from Nigeria were reported killed, along with one each from the Philippines and the Netherlands.

Saudi Arabia said six members of its civil defense forces were injured in the stampede.

The Muslim Council of Wales said that it had heard from only two of six tour groups that had traveled from south Wales for the Hajj. Together, the groups number about 250 pilgrims, council official Saleem Kidwai said. Families and relatives are "very anxious, very concerned," he said.

Hajj pilgrim Ethar El-Katatney, a journalist and blogger, said people were trying to push their way in opposite directions -- some headed to the site of the stoning, some coming back from their previous ritual.

Extreme heat and exhaustion...
The journey is physically grueling enough on its own.

But with temperatures soaring over 43 degrees Celsius (110 degrees Fahrenheit), anyone who succumbs to the elements might collapse and never recover, El-Katatney said.

"I was out for a couple of hours just kind of taking photos, recording. And just two hours standing in the sun makes you so dizzy and so incredibly faint," she said from Mina.

"But regardless, people were still continuing to ... their ritual, where the stampede happened."
